WASHINGTON, DC (March 8, 2023) — The American Chemistry Council’s (ACC) Plastics Division is excited to announce that renowned political pollsters Cornell Belcher and Brenda Gianiny will be participating in the inaugural Innovation & Circularity Summit, which will be held June 28 to 29 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, FL.

Mr. Belcher and Ms. Gianiny will unveil new polling data and insights specifically for conference attendees as they lead a discussion on how the American consumer perceives circularity and whether innovations such as advanced recycling have bipartisan support by the electorate in an otherwise polarized political environment.

Mr. Belcher is the President of Brilliant Corners Research & Strategies and is a political analyst on NBC/MSNBC. He also served as chief pollster at the Democratic National Committee for six years and on the Obama campaign polling team in both 2008 and 2012. A published author and a contributor to the Howard Dean “50 State Strategy,” Mr. Belcher is an expert in unconventional polling and expanding political electorates.

Ms. Gianiny, founding principal of Axis Research, brings a breadth of experience across both corporate and political polling. Since serving as the primary pollster for the 2004 Bush campaign and as pollster to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Ms. Gianiny has also conducted research on behalf of companies including Walmart and Anheuser-Busch.

If you aren’t incorporating sustainability into your business, you aren’t looking to stay in business. Our polling will illuminate how businesses can approach and communicate about circularity.

“While Cornell and I work on different sides of the aisle, we have a unique opportunity to dig deep and find areas where voters agree on important issues like sustainability and jobs,” said Gianiny.

In addition to Belcher and Gianiny’s insights, the Summit will offer attendees the opportunity to build networks across the value chain to support strategies needed to overcome challenges and accelerate circularity solutions at their companies.
