Clariant Providing Free N2O Removal Catalyst for Nitric Acid Producers Worldwide

EQUINOX

Every year, more than 60 million tons of nitric acid, an essential feedstock for the fertilizer industry, are produced globally. Production of nitric acid emits nitrous oxide (N2O), a potent greenhouse gas that can remain in the atmosphere for more than 100 years and has a global warming impact that is approximately 300 times greater than carbon dioxide (CO2).

Covestro Collaborates with University of Pittsburgh to Establish First U.S. Circular Economy Graduate Program

EQUINOX

Covestro LLC and the University of Pittsburgh have created the first circular economy-focused graduate program in the United States to address global waste and its impact on the environment and climate.

ExxonMobil Working to Advance Plastics Recycling in Houston and Beyond

EQUINOX

ExxonMobil has developed advanced recycling technology, which, through April 2022, has processed more than 7 million pounds of used plastics at its Baytown facility, near Houston, Texas. Advanced recycling is a manufacturing process that leverages chemistry and technology to convert hard-to-recycle used plastic like films and pouches into high-quality raw materials for making valuable new products, including plastics.

Closed Loop Circular Plastics Fund Advances Plastics Circularity through Investment in Innovative Technologies and Recycling Infrastructure

EQUINOX

In May 2021, circular economy-focused investment firm Closed Loop Partners joined forces with three leading plastics and material science companies, Dow, LyondellBasell and NOVA Chemicals to establish the Closed Loop Circular Plastics Fund (CPF), a multi-million dollar fund to accelerate investment in plastics recycling infrastructure.

Nouryon’s Agrilan® 1015 Biodegradable Dispersant Provides a Sustainable Solution for the Global Farming Community

Hexion Resin Technologies Expand Use of Wood Resources

EQUINOX

Wood has long been a material of choice for building and construction, due to its strength, multi-functional uses and sustainability attributes. Wood products are naturally biodegradable, renewable, energy efficient and help remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. In addition, sustainable forestry helps enable new growth that adds more than two times the amount of wood removed from U.S. forests for building and construction every year.

Kraton Asphalt Performance Additive Driving Development of Sustainable Roadways
